I like knowing Nashville so here is an update I heard at a recent meeting with Terry Clements of the new Music City Center.

More amazing stats:
-- 350,000 square feed of convention space. That is 5 times the space of our present convention center
-- A 57,000 square foot guitar-shaped ballroom; the largest in Tennessee
-- Size permits marketing to 70 percent-plus of all conventions (currently about 22%).
-- Thirty three groups are already booked

-- Of the 8 acres of roof, about two-thirds is a hearty grass like plant that reduces cooling cost.
-- Then there is a 370,000 gallon water tank buried beneath the surface on the Eighth Avenue side to catch runoff for toilets.
-- Building cost is $485 million for a total price of only $600 million.
